A few weeks ago, we got our collective first look at the label for the 3rd Annual Cleveland Beer Week brew from Cleveland’s own Buckeye Brewing Company. Now, I’ve got some details about another Cleveland Beer Week exclusive beer, this time a American Pale Ale from Southern Tier Brewery.
In Late July, MyBeerBuzz.com reported that a keg collar for a mystery beer from the incomparable Southern Tier in Lakewood, NY called ‘I-90′ had been approved. Now, I’ve got some details to share!
It turns out this will be a Cleveland Beer Week exclusive from our neighbors to the Northeast. Just a short drive up I-90, Southern Tier is practically begging you to make a road trip to check out their tap room, brewery tour, and gift shop by offering Cleveland beer fans this tasty treat. Here are all the details about the beer, straight from Southern Tier and my friends at Premium Beverage Supply:
This is a new pale ale recipe we’ve been experimenting with. With 3 varieties of hops and 3 malts, I-90 is a refreshing, perfectly balanced, citrusy and sessionable pale ale.
I-90 Pale Ale is a toast to Clevelanders and to the interstate that connects us!
6.0% ABV • 50 IBU
So where can you get the beer? So far, Mike’s Bar and Grille in Berea is having a keep the glass special on Monday, 10/17/11 where you can try I-90 and get a free glass. I’m sure the beer will be on tap at many locations around the city during Cleveland Beer Week, so check out the Cleveland Beer Week event page and stay up on the latest events!
