Greg Koch is a legend. The CEO of Stone Brewing Company is one of craft beer’s greatest evangelists. He’s constantly pushing the business forward and his new book, “The Craft of Stone Brewing Co.” gives all beer fans insight into the products and business of Stone. I got to chat with him while he visited Cleveland for his book tour. Here’s what he had to say!
14 local breweries picked a hop name out of a hat and brewed a similar pale ale but hopped it with their chosen hop. Since the time to taste these tasty treats is almost upon us, I just wanted to drop everyone a reminder. The participating breweries will all have their single hop beers at BREWzilla!

At first glance, Fred Karm may not look like a rock star, but looks can be deceiving. Once you are in his presence, his passion for beer and his overall energy is just as contagious as the vibes given off by the greatest front men in music history. I chatted with Hoppin’ Frog’s owner on the company’s fifth anniversary and learned a lot about where the brewery came from and what’s to come.
Today we got our first look at the Buckeye Brewing Co. Cleveland Beer Week 2011 Brew – A hoppy German-style Altbier. That means it’s officially time to get excited about Cleveland Beer Week!!
The way special release beers are distributed has started to change. With more stores stocking craft beer, it was only a matter of time. Here, I share my thoughts about the recent Founders Blushing Monk release and give both sides of a story I see unfolding in the craft beer world, plus a review of the beer. I hope you enjoy!
